| Welcome to Jamul Primary School. We at JPS are proud to provide your children with wonderful educational opportunities. Our rich and stimulating learning environments are created by a caring staff. Jamul Primary teachers have high expertise in all subject areas. Our entire staff is dedicated to the well being of each and every child on site. Educational opportunity highlights that are available at our school are Orff-Schulwerk music classes for all students, visual art classes for all students (18 sessions per school year), Reading Recovery, Waterford Reading Lab, Reading Groups, Band (beginning at grade 3), Musical Theater (beginning at grade 3), wonderful after school enrichment classes for all students, Kids Club (6:00-6:00 program), two computer labs, internet access in all classrooms, and class size reduction throughout the site. We are a PeaceBuilder School and we are teaching our students the “I CARE” (Integrity, Cooperation, Attitude, Respect and Empathy) program. We couldn’t do all of this without the help of our remarkable volunteers. Volunteer opportunities exist through the PTA, art docent program, Rolling Readers, School Site Council, Strategic Planning, English Language Advisory Council and others. We are delighted that our elementary schools benefit from over 500 volunteer hours each month. Your input is important to us.
