School to Resume on Thursday

Good afternoon JDUSD Families,

I am pleased to announce that with the ending of the Red Flag Warning, the Barrett fire being contained, and with power slowly coming back on throughout the community, school will resume with our normal hours tomorrow, Thursday, December 12th. Our buses will follow their regular schedule too. For those of you who are forward planners, please note that the March 3rd Student Non Attendance Day, will now be a regular day of school for our students.

Please continue to stay safe and I hope all your power returns very soon. In the meantime we look forward to educating your children along with feeding them and keeping them warm. I can’t wait to hear laughter in the halls and to see their smiling faces tomorrow.

Buenas tardes familias de JDUSD,

Me complace anunciar que con el fin de la Advertencia de Bandera Roja, la contención del incendio de Barrett y el regreso lento del suministro eléctrico en toda la comunidad, la escuela se reanudará en nuestro horario normal mañana, jueves 12 de diciembre. Nuestros autobuses también seguirán su horario habitual. Para aquellos de ustedes que son planificadores anticipados, tengan en cuenta que el día de inasistencia estudiantil del 3 de marzo ahora será un día regular de clases para nuestros estudiantes.

Continúe manteniéndose a salvo y espero que toda su energía regrese muy pronto. Mientras tanto, esperamos poder educar a sus hijos, además de alimentarlos y mantenerlos calientes. No puedo esperar a escuchar risas en los pasillos y ver sus caras sonrientes mañana.
