ALL STUDENT TRANSFERS ARE APPROVED ON A SPACE AVAILABLE BASIS
Interdistrict transfers are the process for students who resides in another district to attend JDUSD Schools.
NEW INCOMING TRANSFER REQUESTS - Parents/students who wish to attend JDUSD but live in another school district must first complete the Application for Interdistrict Attendance Permit Form and obtain approval from their district of residence before submitting the application to JDUSD. Applications must be submitted to the District Office at 14581 Lyons Valley Road, Jamul, CA 91935. For current school year requests, a final decision will be provided to the parents within 30 calendar days from the date of receipt of the request. For future year requests, a final decision will be provided to the parent no longer than 14 calendar days following the beginning of the school year from which enrollment is sought.
OUTGOING TRANSFER REQUESTS - Parents/students who live within JDUSD and wish to attend a school in another school district must complete the Application for Interdistrict Attendance Permit Form and submit it to the District Office prior to submitting the application to the desired district. We reserve the right to have a meeting (in person, virtual, or phone call) before agreeing to outgoing requests. Turn around time for outgoing requests may take up to 10 business days.
